Carol Fred, LCSW
For nearly three decades Carol has devoted her professional
career to the psychological needs of cancer patients. Her work with oncology patients includes St. John’s Health
Center, UCLA’s Breast Center
and The Wellness Community. “I have seen
many changes in the way treatment is delivered, medical progress, and
fortunately, more attention given to the human dimension every patient and
family member must face in coping with cancer,” says Carol who continues to see
cancer patients and their families in her Westside private practice.

This program is offered free of change. However, the foundation does not cover
parking costs. Two parking options are available: attendees may use the 2020 Santa Monica Blvd. building parking
lot (attached to the 2020 buiding) located on 20th St., south of Santa Monica Blvd. Parking fees range from $10 to $12 for a
two-hour visit. Metered parking is
located on Broadway, one block south of Santa Monica Blvd and 20th St.

The Cancer Legal Resource Center (CLRC) is
a community-based The Cancer Legal Resource Center (CLRC) is a joint program of
the Disability Rights
Legal Center
and Loyola Law School.
The CLRC provides free and confidential information and resources on
cancer-related legal issues to cancer survivors, their families, friends,
employers, health care professionals, and others coping with cancer. A cancer diagnosis can carry with it a
variety of legal issues, including insurance coverage, employment
discrimination, access to health care, and estate planning. These legal issues
can cause people unnecessary worry, confusion, and stress, and can be
overwhelming. When these legal issues are not addressed, people may find that
although they have survived the disease, they have lost their homes, jobs,
insurance, or families.
