Program Description

We invite you to join a memorial exhibition for Cancer & Creativity workshop participant Howard Bass on March 23rd from 5 to 7:30 pm at the Premiere Oncology Foundation.  We celebrate Howard’s remarkable legacy along with the powerful artwork of 24 survivors.  Cancer and Creativity introduces cancer patients and cancer survivors to varied art materials and creative art techniques used to help create hope, express uncertainties, and elaborate on issues of illness and life changes. Multiple methods of artistic expression will be explored, including collage papers and fabrics, acrylic paints, water colors, oils and drawing materials, and three dimensional materials such as clay and wood will be explored. Throughout the process participants will be encouraged to use art to express feelings, gain insight, search for new goals, and explore family dynamics and other pertinent themes.

The Premiere Oncology Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the care of cancer patients and
caregivers through psychosocial support, research, education and integrative medicine.
