This program is for anyone in a care giving relationship:  caregivers for patients with dementia, parents of children with special needs, nurses with cancer patients, teachers or instructional aides who manage a mixed student population, therapists who work with survivors of trauma.

Micromovements such as moving a toe to rhythm and breath, can tell us whether or not someone is engaged, even if they are not actively participating.  In this workshop, participants will learn how to identify and understand subtle nonverbal cues, and deliver nonverbal signals that encourage self-control, cooperation and appropriate self-expression.  Participants will learn how to incorporate therapeutic movement, within whatever setting they are working, that results in a shared experience that brings empathic connection and joy to all.

Bring questions regarding your clients/students of any diagnoses and abilities, an open mind and sense of humor.

Come dressed comfortably…no movement experience necessary.
